My daily tasks included sharing information with students on library resources, managing and operating various office equipment, as well as checking out library resources for patrons. In addition, I played an integral role in helping to maintain a clean and organized space by stocking shelves and ensuring books and other materials were in their proper place, making it easier for students to find the resources they needed.I believe in creating an atmosphere that is both welcoming and accommodating to all students who visit the library. Through my dedication and hard work, I was able to help students feel comfortable and at ease, so they could concentrate on their studies and research. Working as a library assistant was both a challenging and fulfilling experience, and I treasure the knowledge and skills gained during that time.   Crisis Advocate

  During my time working as a crisis advocate at an emergency shelter, I was honored to provide vital support and services to women, men, and children with a history of domestic abuse and human trafficking. My role involved assisting clients by providing goal planning and resources, helping with daily living skills, and facilitating their successful reintegration into the community. I collaborated frequently with law enforcement through the NOVA program by recording jail releases and also domestic abuse incidents. Additionally, I operated a crisis line, which involved responding to crisis calls, providing individual counseling, and assisting clients with the development of personal safety plans.Working in this capacity allowed me to develop a deep appreciation for the importance of providing support that is practical, compassionate, and tailored to the unique needs of the individual. My experience as a crisis advocate equipped me with the tools necessary to work with clients of diverse backgrounds and to provide support to those navigating extremely difficult times.
