  This was my first experience of an engineering environment at the Large Drive Applications (LDA) division of Siemens Midrand. I completed work assignments - with Arduino and PLCs - given to me by my mentor and I was able to attend a beginner training course for the Siemens TIA portal software.and using Go language, I engineered a tool to parse machine configuration files and generate engineeringdocuments, shortening the engineering process requirement from a week's work to a few minutes.   This was my first exposure of working in an online environment for a company. I mainly focused on two goals for this internship. * My primary goal was to use Python and Flask to developed a web automation tool for internal document generation and configuration management, which streamlined workflows and minimized document processing time from a week's work to a few minutes. * My second goal was to finish and learn from internal online SIMOTIC training courses which where directed at digitalization in industry and medium/high voltage products (specifically the design, scope, integration and safety aspects) in a system solution.
