Project Director West Africa Food Markets programme

Worked as London-based Project Director on West Africa Food Markets (WAFM) from May 2016 to September 2017. As a field man I knew instinctively what to do. As a London desk jockey this was not so clear. DFID and Palladium agreed more push was needed. There comes a time when a firm decision to put stronger boots on the ground is needed. This time it worked.

    • Palladium: Make It Possible

      Oct 2017 - Mar 2019
Team Leader West Africa Food Markets programme (WAFM)

WAFM had to be turned round. I asked the clients what they really needed. They said better Access to Finance (A2F). Or else not enough farmers, inputs, production , processing , sales or Cross Border Trade. With improvisation and push we hit the spot. The secret was horizontal cross-cutting team work and more openness and transparency, No more vertical silos & isolation.
