  - Studied Glioblastoma multiforme - a highly malignant brain cancer. - Lead examination of MAPK/ERK signaling pathway in microglia using Western Blotting and PCR techniques, and tested various permutations of clinically-tested drugs to block CCR1 receptor.- Discovered certain proteins associated with the pathway are phosphorylated following the binding of CCR1’s ligands; research provides specific target proteins for immunological drugs.

  - Researched altered cardiovascular control mechanisms, receptor coupling in heart failure of transgenic mice- Analyzed NCOR1, HDAC1/2/3 genes on tumor samples from 283 astrocytic gliomas, and correlated the expression levels with tumor differentiation, proliferation, and patient survival- Performed trend analyses and conducted statistical hypothesis testing on controlled and treated cardiomyocytes.
