In 2015 I was awarded with a Marie Skłodowska-Curie scholarship that allowed me to develop my PhD within a collaborative project (NABBA). This project involved different european universities as well as pharmaceutical and biotech companies. My research project, developed under the supervision of Professor María José Alonso, focused on the development of polymeric nanocapsules, with capacity to load high amounts of siRNA, intended for ocular topical instillation. During the PhD I worked as a visiting PhD student at the group of Professor Francesco Nicotra and Laura Russo (chemical functionalization of different polymers) and at the biotech company Sylentis (in vitro assays). I had the chance to participate in different international conferences and workshops. Such project allowed me to improve my capacity to work in international and multidisciplinary teams in industrial and academical environments. Show less
