      Collaboration with the Traffic Department of Cyprus Police Role: collaborating and consulting the Research and Development Department in order to implement evidence-based strategies to promote safe driving. 1. We developed a flyer around safe driving based on the Theory of Planned Behavior targeted at drivers, cyclers, pedestrians etc.. The flyer is distributed to the public.2. Provide evidence-based arguments on whether a School of Driving Offenders will be effective and also how it will be implemented (age, offences etc.). 3. With the Research and Development Department’s collaboration we run a one-week training for community police officers with the aim to introduce them to Health Psychology principles such as models and intervention development in order to use them in their practice and promote safe driving, safe social behaviour etc. 4. We are in the process of developing a ‘Breaking Bad News’ course for police officers who work in accidents in order to equip them with the skills and knowledge to break bad news to relatives whose love one just died in a car collision.
