      From 1984 to 1986, served as a compensation consultant at Wang Laboratories in Lowell, Massachusetts. Prior to joining Wang, spent five years at the American Association of Industrial Management, a trade association located in Waltham, Massachusetts, working as a part-time contractor and as a compensation consultant. From 1980 to1984, served as the Manager of Compensation Services for AAIM.

After one year, promoted to V.P. of HR Operations with responsibility over Group Benefits, HRIS, Payroll, and Retirement programs, in addition to Compensation. Among the accomplishments in this expanded role, improved the group benefits communications program and process enabling the company to take full credit for the benefits provided to its employees. Added supplemental benefits (with no additional company contribution) including high- option dental insurance and pet insurance.
