      I act as a shipping agent for the United Parcel Service. Duties include placing UPS as well as USPS shipping orders and packaging items per UPS standards. I work with standard office equipment including black and white and color copiers, fax machine, multi-line phone system, calculator, filing work-related documents, and using the laminating and binding machine. My computer experience includes Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook, and some experience with Access.

      This is responsible clerical work in the case processing area for the Court of Appeals and Supreme Court. My primary responsibilities include filing briefs as they are received, ordering records from district courts, filing records as they are received and maintaining an inventory of court records, checking records out to the appellate courts and supreme court, returning records to the district courts, and making appropriate computer entries for all activities.

My full-time one year commitment duties include seeking new opportunities that focus on retention for low-income, first-generation, and multicultural students. I participate in the formation of a new leadership certificate program that is aimed to keep those students in college and have the opportunity to teach a leadership class as the first step in the certificate process. I also help with the expansion of a transfer student program on the Lawrence campus as well. My skills include forming partnerships with various campus groups and community organizations as well as conducting meetings, quarterly and monthly reports to the state office, and some presentations.       I work as an admissions representative for the University of Kansas. I use a territory management model to develop and implement an incoming freshman recruitment plan for assigned regions in Topeka, Kansas City KS, Kansas City Metro area, and Kansas City MO. I plan, initiate, and execute events or projects in territories such as Hawk Talks, Multicultural and High Ability specific events, Student Senate Leadership Conference, and the Chancellor Achievement Banquet. I coordinate and attend all high school visits and college fairs in my territories. I establish relationships with students and their families as well as rapport with other KU offices on campus, high school counselors, and community partners. Not only do I meet with students, I conduct presentations to diverse student populations including Kauffman Scholars, historically underrepresented multicultural populations, first-generation, high ability, and middle school students. I manage a $1500 recruitment budget and communicate with students using a wide range of outlets such as emails, calling campaigns, and social media. Show less
