  I supported the practice on a wide a range of projects including retail, education and workplace design. My role involved liaising with clients, 3D modelling, creating visuals and producing construction build-ups.While at MLA I helped to set up an office Green Group, which involved undertaking research, creating graphics and attending weekly meetings, to develop strategies to better integrate sustainability in architectural working practices. We presented our findings and plans to directors and colleagues via office-wide presentations. Show less

  New Practice

  As a Designer I played a key role in projects such as Cumberland Street Station, where I produced the feasibility study for the adaptive re-use of a disused railway station into a creative community hub. I worked across the concept, technical design and visualisation of Walk-Up Avenue, a biodiverse park and outdoor event space in Edinburgh.I continued to promote participation in the built environment, for example through curating and leading events for stakeholders in Meet Our Waterfront, to gather ideas for the future of the River Clyde. I also developed digital tools and organised public events as part of the consultation for the redevelopment of Buchanan Galleries, a masterplan project by Landsec. Show less As a Junior Designer I developed my user research, architectural design and graphic design skills. I supported on the refurbishment of community centre Kinning Park Complex, and worked on the Dumbarton Active Travel Strategy, which involved designing and fabricating Scotland's first colourful crossing.I gained experience in designing and facilitating engagement events. For example I led Vauxhall Crossing, an outdoor event for young people, as part of the London Festival of Architecture. I also designed and facilitated online workshops for Design, Differently, an initiative by Design Council that aimed to creatively connect community activists across the UK. Show less
