  I was at the Quantum information group, the Atomic Physics Department, Lund University of Technology, Sweden. My main research focus was on demonstrating a device called "Quantum Memory for light" using rare-earth-ions-doped crystals inside the cavity. Quantum Memory is one of the building blocks for long-distance Quantum Key Distribution (QKD) and also future quantum computing.
