Assisted operation of a coal-fired furnace during biomass co-firing tests.Constructed gas sampling and recirculating systems using Swagelok.Worked in the Bioenergy Systems Group on biomass combustion, pyrolysis, and gasification as an alternative to coal and natural gas fuels. Installed and maintained a scrubbing unit, including a catalytic combustor..Performed tar separation and sampling of flue from a biomass gasification process to determine tar production per kg of biomass fed.
