  Army Engineer / Command Sergeant Major

  During this time I served in the following key leadership positions:- Command Sergeant Major: responsible for the management, training, discipline, production and readiness of over 800 soldiers.- Chief Instructor of the Department of Defense Fire Fighting Academy: responsible for the management of all Army Fire Fighter Instructors who in turn, trained Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen, Marines and Coastguardsmen on initial and advanced firefighting and rescue techniques.- Senior Military Instructor at Saint Augustine’s College (ROTC): responsible for the training and mentoring of college cadets as they transitioned into the Army as officers- First Sergeant of a Headquarters Support Company: responsible for training, management and health and warfare of a 256 soldier unit. During this assignment I successfully deployed my company for fifteen months to Iraq.- First Sergeant of a Basic Training Company at Fort Jackson: responsible for the training and welfare of thirteen Drill Sergeants and six staff members; responsible for the training, health and welfare and transitioning of more than 2,000 civilians into the US Army.- Platoon Sergeant in the only technical rescue platoon in the Army: responsible for the health and welfare of 30 soldiers and poised to respond to any terrorist acts in the National Capital Region- Senior Drill Sergeant at Fort Jackson, SC: responsible for the training, health and welfare, and successful transition of more than 800 civilians into the US Army.My ability to create effective teams and cohesive units were evident in my upward movement and assignment of key leadership positions throughout my military career.Previous Deployment: Saudi Arabia, Bosnia, Kosovo and Iraq Show less
