      Section Leader

      Served as a Non-Commissioned Officer of the Infantry in the U.S. Army for 7 years (2010-2017). Completed 2 deployments 1 to Basra, Iraq and the other to the Republic of South Korea (TDY). Conducted over 250 combat missions and patrols during first deployment. Primary Mission was to provide a security detail for escorting the Department of the State of the Department of Defense representatives to conduct key leader engagements for humanitarian purposes as apart of the new mission known as Operation: New Dawn.       Selected as a pathways Intern for FEMA, Grant Management Division for region 6. Primary focus and job responsibilities consisted of program planning, (EMPG) Emergency Management Preparedness Grants, monitoring, tracking, data entry, data analysis, communication and coordination with public and state jurisdictions, grant application reviews, (NOFO) Notice Of Funding Opportunities reviews, (RCPGP) Regional Catastrophic Preparedness Grant Program application reviews and panel scoring.
