Completing independent-learning, undergraduate-based projects in engineering sponsored by the Air Force Research Laboratory.- Lead for the design of the user interface for the continuation of Project Ripple: a scalable medical telemetry system for pararescue jumpers in combat. Team member contributing to the hardware and software systems design and test. - Implemented the new interface using Android Studio. Developed technical presentation on project design and implementation. Briefed presentation to AFRL director, Discovery Lab open house, and Ohio State Fair.- Led “10-week” interns through regular meetings with the group leads and Discovery Lab Director (Dr. Williams) on the direction of the program. Goals included maximizing value to the Air Force and education to the student research staff.- Launched and led a team for the Gamification movement in Deep Horizons virtual reality learning institute to draw in new students and more appropriately evaluate their skills. - Individually re-designed the displays and layout of the Computer Vision Research Institute in Deep Horizons. Project Ripple: A scalable medical telemetry system for use in combat or disaster scenarios by medical responders, particularly pararescue jumpers. Designed after the current triage scoring system. The sensor package is placed on the wounded and wirelessly sends vitals to an android device, from which the broker forwards data to be stored locally in the Cloud / Cloudlet system. Supervisors and hospitals have access to the medical data.Primary work: Android Development, Java, Python, Human Factors Engineering, User Interface Design Show less
