      Hired to resurrect a declining county program. Assisted in the creation of a Committee/Foundation Board to build a Youth Center in Anadarko, revamped the county 4-H Foundation, and re-energized the core group of volunteer leaders. Developed new technologies to connect classrooms with agriculture based programs plus new pathways to connect families with youth development options at a much lower cost.Developed stronger connections with families and the educational system. This groundbreaking effort made the county program one of the top programs in Oklahoma as well as one of the fastest growing in the key areas of membership, participation and fundraising. Managed the reorganization of the county 4-H Foundation; in a single year, produced a 1000% increase in funds putting the Foundation in a healthier place. Became one the primary counties in Oklahoma for piloting new programs and initiatives that engaged youth in character development and growth (Head, Heart, Hands and Health). Show less

      Promoted to guide AQHA’s Youth Department including its diverse services, leadership development and competitive activities. Conceived then led the creation and development of a major new web-based initiative to totally transform how children engage with horses in their formative years – igniting a lifelong love affair with horses and the entire equine lifestyle – and producing extensive revenue opportunities. Built support among the AQHA management and staff then created awareness and support among the Associations volunteer leadership and key external audiences. Stayed sharply-focused on the objective as the concept evolved based on extensive internal and external input. Engaged the support and participation of key constituent groups and helped raise the funds to seed the initial stages of development. Identified and engaged a leading national firm to bring their credibility and considerable expertise to the final formulation and development of what became two complementary products: onlinestable.com and takemeriding.com. An original video series, educational games, a comprehensive content library, plus a Common Core classroom lesson plan to produce initial engagement, repeat visits and develop and expand the global online community. Strong connections with 4-H and FFA have been forged in the course of introducing a new game-changing way to reward children as they make a personal connection with the livestock industry. Onlinestable.com revolutionizes the way people connect with horse activities regardless of breed, discipline or interest level (including vacation destinations). This new site combining digital calendars with geo-location services involved creating and managing content partnerships that would enable access across many digital properties and specifically portable wireless devices. Show less Constructed the American Quarter Horse Foundation’s first text donation campaign during the world’s largest single breed horse show (All American Quarter Horse Congress - Columbus, Ohio). Researched customer engagement techniques then led integral studies and work to research and launch one of the most comprehensive video properties in the horse industry. Played a key role as a technology advocate within Association operating committees comprised of member volunteers creating awareness of the importance of technology to the future of the organization and directing and guiding important cross-platform interactive advancements. Member of a small team aggressively advocating then gaining support among AQHA staff and management for using social media to enhance communication and drive program participation and revenue generation. This effort resulted in the Association dedicating a team to managing social media with Facebook now nearing 1 million fans. Continued development of new and engaging advertising methods with proven techniques to reduce costs and increase visibility. Led a team of advertising executives to research and develop a digital plan to create inbound online advertising channels to generate revenueHelped build stronger working relationships among the advertising sales team and corporate relations and marketing departments resulting in integrated product offerings, more attractive and persuasive sales proposals, more unique advertising campaigns, and important new sponsorships. Funds produced from these efforts supported the creation and implementation of marketing campaigns to grow Association awareness, engagement and participation. Revamped messaging and ad development and conducted research to reduce costs and increase meaningful engagement. Efforts proved successful and helped develop a new rewards program for members participating in activities with horses. Was promoted and given additional responsibilities in managing events and leading volunteers in the creation of new events; became an authorized AQHA spokesperson representing the Association with local, regional and national media.
