  The Manager, Pharmacy Production and Distribution is responsible for overseeing the flow of pharmacy inventory through the Health Authority, focusing on medication re-packaging and labeling (unit dose and centralized CIVA), waste reduction, and financial controls. This is a new position for Island Health Pharmacy Services and is strategic in meeting the organization's patient safety initiatives, including barcode medication administration and automated medication cabinets. As Project Manager for the Unit Dose Medication Distribution project my responsibility is overseeing the conversion of bulk inventory to dose ready format and implementing barcode quality assurance processes designed to support nurses performing Barcode Medication Administration for all medications supplied by Pharmacy Services at Island Health.
