      Quality Control Co-Op

As a quality co-op for Trane in Clarksville, TN, I was tasked with the development of a sheet metal scrap recycling project to help make the Clarksville facility more environmentally friendly. Although all scrap metal was already being recycled, almost none of it was being recycled back through the plant. This is where I came in. I helped design a process to sort and classify scrap metal for recirculation through the plant. This process added 2 jobs per shift to the facility and has given Trane an extra savings of $500,000 every year. Show less

    • Triumph Aerostructures - Vought Aircraft Division

      May 2013 - Aug 2013
      Engineering Internship

As an intern/co-op of Triumph Aerostructures-Vought Aircraft Division, I developed solutions to problems using skills I have learned in school and previous jobs. I developed software applications to organize information and performance data, as well as design tools for various parts of the plant. My work has not only benefitted Triumph Group, but all of the companies Triumph Group builds parts for, such as Lockheed Martin, Airbus, Gulfstream, and Cessna.
