      Directly supervised 21 Sailors in Repair Division and 45 Sailors in Deck’s 2nd Division who were responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of the ship’s hull and water/sewage system and the maintenance of well deck and vehicle stowage areas.-Managed both contractor and ship’s force work throughout a 18-month, $200 million extended docking phase maintenance availability, the largest in the history of the Surface Navy, including the rehabilitation and preservation of 113 divisional spaces resulting in cost savings in the hundreds of thousands of dollars.-A go to locker officer for casualties. Leadership and knowledge in the locker resulted in the flawless execution of damage control efforts when combating flooding in Load Center 36 and, which prevented further injuries to the crew and minimized damage to the ship. Secondary duties included the supervision and delivery of press releases and reports, and providing information to new media organizations.-Developed and implemented a weekly work schedule to include training, inspections, and meetings for over 170 Sailors.-As Public Affairs Officer, documented events and published weekly public affairs updates, supporting community involvement and recruiting initiative.-Responsible for the accountability of the command’s information technology hardware (includes but not limited to desktops, laptops, monitors, printer, storage devices, USB devices, and PDAS).-Coordinated operations and training exercises for 4 Beach Party Teams.
