      Ballroom and Swing Dance Instructor

During my time as a student at he University of Iowa and after, I devoted my free time to instructing dance in many different communities. The style of dance I have the most experience is in Lindy Hop/Charleston/Blues/East Coast Swing. I taught classes for the University of Iowa Swing Dance Club, Hawkeye Ballroom Dance Company, Nicole Rock Dance Studio, Cyclone Swing Society, and UNI Ballroom/Swing, amongst some other groups. These courses mainly focused on swing dancing, though I did teach some courses on general dance practices, musicality, and beginner level ballroom dancing.I began working with student groups and hosting workshops to offer more advanced levels of swing dancing in the corridor community alongside my dance partner Laura Jackson. As of now, however, my career has taken me to the Chicago area.I have worked with the Downer's Grove group "Swinging at the Sands" to teach for events (lessons prior to a band). Show less
