  This was a wonderful adventure. I had proved to the state manager and also the owners that i could achieve what ever was put infront of me sales wise, this put me in good sted for the branch managers postion when it came up. I was put incharge of the Sunshine branch where the team turned it around, the branch was awarded a number of prizes for being the best branch in sales 3 times and 2nd 7 times out of 26 branches (at that time)This was an excellent adventure with my first role as management.   My career path has been wide and varied. Starting at the age of 17 when I joined the Royal Australian Navy as an Officers Steward. After the basic training and completing my qualification course I was able to more very quickly up the ladder and be promoted to the rank of Leading Seamen, in record time.With the pride that I take in everything I do, I was to be selected by the RAN to be the Valet for Lady Diana The Princess of Wales when they attended the Tall ship review in Australia 1988.That was the highlight of my 8 years of service.I then moved onto hospitality where it wasn't long before I was restaurant manager, very pleasing to be able to pass on the skills I had developed over the years with the defense training and discipline.Sales was the next role I undertook, as per all other roles I jump in and have a real crack. It always seems to work. I have been extremely lucky in all sales roles I have tackled, start of as sales rep, move up to sales manager, before long Branch manager and the ultimate goal General manager!I guess this comes from the defense background and the pride I take in my role and presentation of appearance.I have now been with Wigley Engineering for 2.5 years and as a family company 3rd generation, its a absolute pleasure to come to work each day and build the sales revenue and increase that bottom line.Living the Dream.
