  Assigned to the Shoprite Core Program based at Shoprite Head Office in Brackenfell as a SAP FI/CO Functional Analyst. Part of the Shared and Local Procurement Team for Release 2. Responsibilities included taking over existing interfaces between the 2 instances of SAP and its integration with existing systems, Test and Update where required, managing defects where they arose through to the handover of the interface to Test Analysts. Other tasks Included knowledge transfer to Shoprite Business Analysts and assisting with the testing of the Logistics Invoice Verification interface. Assignment to Release 1 focused on the preparation of SAP Finance master data ALE between the 2 SAP instances. These and other master data interfaces went live and have run in the SAP Retail Production instance successfully since June 2012. Assignment back to Release 2 post Release 1 Master Data go-live to the Inventory & Finance Transactions Team. Responsibilities included transactional interfaces between the 2 instances of SAP, month-end scheduling, assessment of standard reporting vs custom vs use of SAP BI, defect resolution and assistance to other teams where integration issues arose.
