I was promoted into this key leadership role, where I improved educational performance by leading operations of the Air Force’s largest total-force Enlisted Professional Military Education facility. This included all aspects of curriculum compliance, cost control, procurement/purchasing, operations management, process improvement, business analysis, and faculty/personnel management. Some of my primary accomplishments during this time:• Improved efficiency at 40 satellite education sites by analyzing/reviewing operations and developing/implementing improvements that solidified best practices.• Increased classroom utilization from 20% to 90% by integrating and optimizing use of the entire education complex.• Created fiscal year 2014 and 2013 Execution Plans and achieved 10% savings over each of the previous years. • Established a distance training program for faculty of professional development courses• Managed a project for a $45,000 public address system installation and completed two weeks ahead of schedule. • Key performer in leading the educational facility to second consecutive winner of EPME Team of the Year in 2013.• Achieved a 6% increase in space utilization by implementing a solution to reorganize the center’s workspace.• Awarded 2012 NCO of the Year by the East Tennessee Military Affairs Council.• Taught leadership/management courses that included Change Management, Behavior Analysis, Team Development, Situational Leadership, Public Speaking, Ethics, and Continuous Process Improvement. Show less During this time frame, I ensured the delivery of high quality educational programming through leadership efforts that prepared 77+ faculty members to deliver curricula in accordance with USAF and ANG directives. I achieved results by overseeing testing/training documentation compliance, advising senior officials on staff/faculty development, and continually evaluating the educational facility’s ability to deliver on Air Force teaching objectives. My results included: • Led a large-scale curriculum transition project that included training 28 instructors on a comprehensive new management training curriculum; implemented new testing formats that increased student pass rate by 19%. • Recognized for developing a new instructor training program that exceeded accreditation standards. • Directed a facilitator course instructor team that successfully qualified 42 facilitators to implement EPME classrooms at 20 Air National Guard locations. Show less I was promoted into this quality assurance management position to optimize quality assurance programs for Aircrew Flight Equipment (AFE) that included monitoring compliance for inspection results, identifying/resolving deficiencies, implementing cost-saving initiatives, eliminating redundant processes, and conducting visits for other AFE programs. A few of my most significant contributions included: • Built a standardized Aircrew Flight Equipment Quality Assurance Program for the Air Force’s largest Operations Group that established a culture of accountability and safety for each aspect of mission preparation. • Saved $24,000 by converting to a “paperless” system, implementing the use of laptop computers, analyzing existing operations, identifying inefficiencies, and revamping legacy processes. • Identified and resolved underperforming or faulty processes used for tracking/inspecting aircraft equipment. • Implemented directives that increased training performance by 15.4% and increased aircraft configuration by 61%. • Managed logistics and provided direction to a 15 person team that contributed to achieving 104+ missions with zero delays for Aircrew Flight Equipment. Show less As Squadron Resource Advisor I created control costs and administered a $16 million budget, prepared financial reports/presentations to update senior managers on budgets, and reviewed Government Purchase Card requests for compliance with Air Force directives. Some of my awards and accomplishments included: • Awarded 2007 Resource Advisor of the Year for overall contributions to the organization. • Managed Technical Order accounts for 32 technicians supporting aircraft valued at over $10 billion. • Administered $611,000 in aircraft support contracts and achieved aircraft readiness three weeks ahead of schedule. • Implemented changes to purchasing authority that reduced procurement time by more than 50%. • Analyzed and identified six Air Force technical order index errors and resolved issues quickly with 100% accuracy. • Researched and procured a new wireless phone system that increased communication abilities by 150%. • Spearheaded the review of 2200+ technical orders and identified/corrected more than 250 discrepancies.
