  I am responsible for managing the Intelligence, rishi and performance team for Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service. This team delivers performance metrics, analysis and understanding for senior leaders and service users. The team also produces the community risk management plan and supports consequent project delivery. I aim to ensure alignment of operational capabilities to identified risks and plan for delivery of new capabilities to counter emerging threats. I support the leadership team and the Fire Authority to improve the safety of people who live and work in Berkshire.I am a tactical (silver) commander with a long history of managing operational incidents and emergencies.I chair the Thames Valley Local Resilience Forum risk assessment working group and am a member of the DHLUC National Risk Working Group. I am working to deliver duties set out in the Civil Contingencies Act 2004 and support improved understanding of risk at a local, regional and national level.As a National Inter-Agency Liaison Officer (NILO) I provide tactical and operational advice and support to fire incident commanders, police, medical and military commanders and government agencies on the operational capabilities of the Fire and Rescue Service to help safely resolve incidents and pre-planned operations.
