My hydrological experience focussed on water resources, development impacts and environmental sustainability working with public and private sector clients, research institutions and regulators, throughout the UK and Ireland. I led the Scottish water management section of Entec UK Limited and in 2008/09 was responsible for winning and delivering over £400k of hydrological based work in Scotland and Ireland.Projects addressed issues of water resource assessment and development, engineering impacts and mitigation, monitoring, sustainability appraisal, water quality, dewatering, and drainage. I project managed and provided technical input for the preparation of EIAs for a diverse range of developments including wind farms, open cast coal, underground mining and hospitals acting as Expert Witness on four planning inquiries and have presented to the Transport and Environment Committee of the Scottish Parliament.       Led the the investment in marine technologies for RWE Innogy of over €10m. This included project management of the Siadar Wave Energy project, Voith Hydro 1MW turbine project in EMEC and the MCT Skerries tidal stream arrays. Responsible for the development of new run-of-river and hydropower sites, principally in Scotland. Process included site acquisition; feasibility assessment; negotiation of legal agreements with landowners; agreement of grid connections; project management of environmental impact assessments, planning consents and water licensing.
