Joined with a Medical Director to handle the delivery of dialysis to chronically ill patients six days a week with an average patient load of 38 patients per day. Directed nurse in charge with the care of patients including adequate dialysis administration for every patient/every treatment, administration of all unique IV and oral medications given per treatment. Additionally, verified patient care technicians, licensed practical nurses and other registered nurses were documenting care properly and thoroughly in three different electronic medical record interfaces and monthly analysis of patient vaccinations, lab results, fluid intake and anemia management. Worked closely with Social Worker to handle patient complaints, resolve transportation and insurance issues as well as identifying and helping fix other barriers that keep a largely low income population from missing treatments, not taking all prescribed medications or having enough sustenance or basic housing. Created and enforced clinical policy, staff training protocols, OSHA standards, and monthly team and patient morale projects. Maintained team health and personnel files, monthly and weekly meeting minutes with Core team, Interdisciplinary team, Facility Health Team, Administrative Assistant meetings, all annual performance reports, disciplinary measures and other State Health Department required documentation.
