  Healthy Hearts Plus II - ABCs of BreastfeedingA CCE grant funded study that evaluated the effectiveness of a community-based breastfeeding intervention, and the sister-circle model the program used, in reducing racial and socioeconomic disparities in breastfeeding and associated health issues.   Healthy Communities for Youth ProjectA CDC funded mixed-methods study which aims to promote healthy communities and reduce violence rates in Richmond, VA through the evaluation of youth violence prevention strategies in high-risk urban communities. Principal Investigator: Dr. Terri Sullivan, Ph.D.Responsibilities: • Aid in the planning, modification, and execution of qualitative and quantitative research procedures.• Manage incentive deliveries and records during the most recent wave of data collection according to project and COVID-19 safety protocols.• Conduct one-on-one audio recorded interviews with youth, adult caregivers, service providers, and community leaders, both in-person and virtually, and file session paperwork in accordance with project and university protocols.• Work independently and as part of a team to perform qualitative data analysis using a grounded theory framework, including open, axial, and consensus coding using NVivo. • Synthesize and visualize research data in graphs, charts, and fact sheets to disseminate study findings to the Intervention teams and community stakeholders including service providers, city officials, and agencies.• Summarize study findings and conduct literature reviews for submissions to peer-reviewed journal publications.
