      Responsible for developing guidelines, rates, and coverages to evaluate each risk to determine acceptability, coverage, and pricing. Performing industry-related research pertaining to forms, rates, and legal climate and provide recommendations to underwriters and management. Review, evaluate, and score underwriting files to validate adherence to underwriting rules, guidelines, and compliance requirements. File and remit all surplus lines taxes and stamp fees within the timelines permitted by the various state jurisdictions for the division. Prepare timely and accurate rate, rule, and form filings for submittal to regulatory agencies. Review, evaluate, and report on claim activity for the business unit. Identify operational requirements and opportunities for improvement. Develop new processes and procedures to enhance operations. Train employees to use new systems or follow new processes.
