  First ever reading specialist for Duchesne Academy working with classroom teachers and administration to diagnose students with reading differences, and then use orton-grillingham method of teaching students decoding, handwriting, spelling, fluency, comprehension, grammar, and writing. Instituted response to intervention program at Duchesne, and brought in digital text reading programs for middle school students. Incorporate knowledge of Anglo- Saxon, Latin and Greek prefixes, suffixes and root words for vocabulary comprehension. Use multi- sensory method of instruction for grammar and writing.
