Responsibilities include:- The planning and management of foundation delivery and other associated activities. Including the six week detailed programme for delivery- The management of a team of engineers and trainees - Planning of on site activities and plant movements- Production and management of quality assurance and non-conformance paperwork- Responsible for the interface with design including technical queries and requests for information. Show less Project - Northern Hub Electrification Alliance - Phase 4 and 5Being involved in various aspects of engineering involved with a Graduate Civils Design Engineer. These have included:- Creation of various Health and Safety Handback file documentation for the commissioning and handover of North West Electrification Project – Phase 2 including Designated Earthling Point (DEP) and Electrical Clearance Schedules- Production of Form001, 002 and 003 for OLE foundations. Involvement in various Interdisciplinary Checks (IDC), Hazard Identification Studies (HAZID) and Hazard and Operability Analysis (HAZOP)- The design of various foundation types for Overhead Line Electrification (OLE) structures including gravity and side bearing foundations and a number of bridge attachments.- Involvement as Civil’s lead during the Early Contractual Involvement (ECI) period of the Northern Hub Alliance - Phase 5. Focusing on the feasibility of the Approved in Principle (AIP) Civil’s design. - Analysis of over 350 foundations for non-conformance issues and feasibility for OLE steel installation.- Creation of all procurement schedules for the main steel work for the Northern Hub Alliance – Phase 4 project. - Regular use of Microsoft Word, Excel, Bentley Microstation, Projectwise and STAAD Show less Project: North West Electrification Project Phase 2cInvolvement in various aspects of engineering and resource management involved with a graduate civil engineer and works manager. These have included- Acting as the lead site engineer for all technical queries for sub-contract labour and trades people- The planning, costing and managing of all bespoke foundations for the NWEP Phase 2c - Sub-contractor planning and engagement with regards numerous packages of works and ensuring compliance with quality standards and contracted scope of works.- Managing and training a number of trainee and site engineers in various surveying applications and small works management- The management, supervision and planning of possession activities including the installation of OLE foundations and steel structures. - The creation of work package plans, task briefings, lift plans, quality check sheets and various client required reports. These activities have included: - Surveying (using automatic level, Trimble total station, Amber track trolley, track gauge, platform gauge, Dual grade laser), as built surveys, Tamping, , geometry marking, datum plate installation, plain line renewal/installation using both 2D and 3D method, installing track drainage. A number of site supervisory roles including overseeing work carried out by trackmen and machine controllers.- Office based activities such as creating relevant paperwork e.g. detailed programmes, works package plans, health and safety handback files.
