      A 15 bed, level III accredited Intensive Care Unit, specialising in medical and surgical patients.During my time with this organisation, responsibilities included Team Leader per shift, supporting the Associate Nurse Unit Managers and bedside nurses, being involved heavily in the Medical Emergency Response Team, providing formal and informal education sessions, and developing best practice protocols. In addition, I was Acting Intensive Care Database Manager and Acting Intensive Care Equipment Nurse for periods of extended leave cover. Roles within the Intensive Care Unit included Clinical Support Nurse responsible for assisting junior staff members with bedside education and difficult patient requirements, and Care Coordinator responsible for the coordination of a 9-bed pod on allocated shifts.       12-month fixed term contract within the Quality and Risk team during an ACHS Organisational Wide Survey year. Responsibilities included undertaking reviews of clinical indicators and mortalities, overseeing various data entry programs, completing hospital wide audits, educating Managers and Clinical Nurses,and implementing new processes and policy changes to maintain a high standard of care. During this period, I was a key member of a project team overseeing the implementation of a new auditing program (MARS - opus5k). This encompassed the development of audits that align to the National Standards, education of staff in the auditing process, and ongoing management of the auditing system throughout the organisation.
