In addition to the facility’s departmental staffs, responsibilities included the corporate support staff of a Controller (CPA), five accounting support staff, and a Human Resource Director.  Planned and directed a $400K renovation project including a new therapy gym and resident-centered dining rooms for improved resident satisfaction and census development.  Planned and purchased the land from the City of Carlisle for a $3M assisted living facility on the campus of Carlisle Center for Wellness and Rehab to solidify future financial performance.  Implemented the increased use of skilled hospice for residents and families by developing a dedicated hospice suite. Managed the monthly and year end audited financial statement production in addition to the monthly and yearly State of Iowa reimbursement reporting process. Administered the employee benefits package, corporate liability and workmen compensation insurance requirements, and corporate legal support needs.
