  Responsible for ensuring effective functioning of the Grid Control Center (NCC), focused towards maintaining safety and security of power supply to the industrial and domestic consumers, by monitoring the supply of electricity to the consumers through the SCADA system.Core Responsibilities:• Ensures the safety, reliability and security of the electricity generation and transmission networks, by supervising the entire electricity supply process from the NCC utilizing the SCADA software• Participates in ensuring the operation of the Grid Control Center and supports the Senior Engineer - DGCC/NCC in supervising the activities within the NCC• Drives the effective management of assets and equipment utilized within the NCC• Ensures compliance with the operational policies of Kahramaa across the Electricity Network, as developed by the Head of NCC and Senior Engineer - NCC• Directs the switching operations by giving instructions to field engineers for switching in the Transmission network and primary substations for maintenance or repair of network components, and for after-fault restorations.• Conducts load-shedding in accordance with previously set methods, in case of electricity generation shortage or other system contingencies• Issues Permit To Work (PTW), Sanction For Tests (SFT), isolation & Earthing certificates and other safety documents as per requirement for work in the field and ensures appropriate safety standards • Identifies and reports any faults that may occur, as observed from the DGCC control room• Attends to system faults and takes the necessary proactive decisions to restore the system back to its normal working conditions, thereby restoring the supply (in case of power failures) at the earliest• Supervises the effective conduct of repair works and other activities• Works in cooperation with Quality Assurance and Continual Improvement section on securing and maintain the ISO / Risk Management / ISMS certification.
