  Volunteer and member of the Safe Core Team

  The European Youth Parliament (EYP) is a educational programme for the youth in Europe. It is run by youngsters, for youngsters. The EYP allows for youngsters to think about and discuss urgent European matters and come up with relevant solutions together. It empowers youngsters to form an opinion and that the opinion of the youth matters and should be heard. After my first EYP conference in 2013 I stayed active in the organisation in different capacities, taking on different kinds of leadership roles. By now, I have attended more than 20 conferences all over Europe as a Chairperson, Vice-President, Jury member, Head of Jury, Journalist and Organiser.From 2019 on I am also a member of the Safe Core Team of the EYP. A team aimed at making all of the events of the European Youth Parliament safer for all its participants. Within the Safe Core team I am a member of the International Reporting and Complaint Support team, a team that assesses complaints and reports of harmful behaviour. Show less

  Board Member International Affairs

  From 2016 to 2017 I got to be on the board of the one independent Trade Union for youngster in the Netherlands. As the board member for international affairs, I got to delve into difficult matters such as paternity leave, youth unemployment and the gender pay gap. In addition, I got to be a part of creating more dialogue with our members. I organised meeting with our members and panels. I also got to attend the "Broad stakeholder dialogue about violence against women in the world of work". The was the preparatory meeting for the International Labour Organisation's conference in 2018. Show less

  Guest Lecturer "Probeer de Bond"

  As Guest Lecturer for Trade Union CNV Vakmensen, I travel to vocational schools in the Netherlands to give workshops and guest lectures. We teach the youngsters at these schools everything they need to know to be successful as a starter in the world of work. We touch upon labour-law, negotiating, pensions and much more. We take great effort into informing the youth about their rights and empower them to stand up for these rights.

  Secretary

  As the secretary of the European Youth Parliament the Netherlands (EYP NL), I got to work on the day-to-day management of an NGO. In the board, we dealt with the overall well-being of our organisation and the participants of our conferences and the strategic development. Apart from my general tasks, as the secretary I was responsible for the five regional conferences of EYP NL. Here we invited Dutch secondary schools to participate. I was responsible for the projectmanagers of these conferences and gave them the support they needed to succeed fully. Show less

  VoorUit Project is a social project in Amsterdam concerned with the social cohesion in neighbourhoods of our capital. We work on improving neighbourhoods whilst also living in that exact neighbourhood, making this an unique project. Together with the municipality and housing associations we aim to improve the living standards and make the neighbourhood a more enjoyable and safe place to live. We do activities such as languages classes for adults, cooking classes with children and tutoring youngsters and children. Show less

  Interstedelijk Studenten Overleg

  Bestuurslid (belast met de interne financiën)

  Het Interstedelijk Studenten Overleg (ISO) is de grootste landelijke studentenorganisatie van Nederland en behartigt de algemene belangen van bijna 730.000 studenten aan universiteiten en hogescholen. Het ISO is vaste gesprekspartner van onder andere het ministerie van Onderwijs, Cultuur en Wetenschap, de politieke partijen en de koepels van universiteiten en hogescholen. Als bestuurslid behartigde ik de belangen van studenten op de thema's medezeggenschap, internationalisering en docentkwaliteit. Ook heb ik de portefeuille sociale veiligheid opgezet binnen het ISO. Daarnaast was ik gezamenlijk verantwoordelijk voor de organisatie: medewerkers, het HR beleid in het algemeen en de interne financiën. Show less
