  • Experience

    • CWRU Office of Energy & Sustainability

      Feb 2020 - May 2022
      Sustainability Ambassador

Worked on several projects aiming to accelerate progress on CWRU's Climate Action Plan including: - Created CWRU's Carpooling Page in effort to reduce carbon emissions at our university- Co-planned CWRU's annual Fall Energy Contest to reduce energy consumption in residential buildings- Created a committee to educate and implement more sustainable practices in Greek Life housing, such as recycling, composting, and reducing energy consumption

    • Environmental Law & Policy Center

      May 2020 - Aug 2020
      Intern

Selected for the PGPEE Summer 2020 Practicum at CWRU- Created a supply chain map of wind and solar companies Iowa- Researched and collected data about community solar projects nationwide

    • Case Western Reserve University

      Mar 2021 - May 2023

I encouraged students to participate in experiential and extra-curricular activities and provided expertise on Case School of Engineering academic requirements, policies, procedures, campus services, and programs. Throughout my two-year term, I managed the Peer Advisors website, social media presence, and lead the creation our first podcast, Engineering the Talk (available on Spotify). In my final year, I was a co-leader of the cohort, leading all group meetings and managing five teams. At the Solar Durability and Lifetime Extension Center at CWRU, I studied the degradation of 4-cell PV minimodules undergoing accelerated exposure of UV radiation using stepwise electrical characterization techniques.- SURES Summer 2021 Research Scholar- Skills learned: fabrication process of the PV minimodules, electrical characterization (I-V and SunVoc measurements), EL/PL imaging

      • CSE Peer Advisor

        Aug 2021 - May 2023
      • Research Assistant

        Mar 2021 - Aug 2021
    • Great Lakes Energy Institute (GLEI)

      Aug 2021 - May 2022
      ThinkEnergy Fellow

      - Selected in the 2021-2022 cohort of GLEI ThinkEnergy Fellows: 2 PhD, 2 MS and 11 UG students- Project SiMBa: intends to power the off-grid individual with stand alone, integrated solar PV with battery- Experience in competitions: American-Made Solar Prize Competition (Round 5, Hardware Track), VentureWell E-Team, and the Morgenthaler Pavey Startup Competition

    • Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory

      May 2022 - Aug 2022
      Materials Engineering Intern

Utilized non-destructive evaluation methods, such as Resonant Ultrasound Spectroscopy and forensic metallography to study the degradation of molybdenum alloys after brazing. Analyzed and visualized mechanical properties for presentation at LLNL Summer Slam Competition.

    • Eaton

      Sept 2023 - now

      - Built complete test automation framework for the Hardware In the Loop (HIL) validation of Eaton’s Global Energy Storage Controller using TyphoonTest IDE. The test suite covers all grid-interactive controls including demand charge management, time-of-use optimization, demand response, power backup, solar self-consumption and aggregation services. - Implemented the islanding sequence in Eaton’s Home Energy Management System (HEMS) Controller using Model-Based Design in MATLAB Simulink. This development contributes to the control algorithms that will enable advanced energy features, including Vehicle-to-Home integration, in a residential load center.- Tested & reviewed the implementation of the AS/NZ 4777.2 grid codes in Eaton’s Unified Grid Code Library, which has DER control functions for transmission and distribution of grid-utility interconnection for all major global grid code standards. Through this construction challenge, I learned about the importance of technical constraints for sensors in aqueous solutions and embedded electronics for monitoring and adjustment of variables affecting plant growth. Combining our team’s wide-ranging skillset of embedded software, construction, and chemistry, our capstone project placed 1st across all engineering and computer science students at CWRU’s undergraduate research poster symposium.
