      Worked in IT and Finance as a consultant and employee for various companies, including Target, Best Buy, United Health Group, Medtronic, Intel, Oracle, MD Anderson Cancer Center, University of Minnesota, Bank of America, and others. Pioneered technologies, including gift registry kiosks, call center technologies, networks, desktops, data centers and DR projects, real estate projects, training, and unified communications.

      Director, IT Service Delivery & PMO | Global Telecom/Network/Contact Center Operations

      Led all programs and service delivery aspects for $1+ billion contracts, including US government clients. Supported 100+ merger and acquisition activities. Directed global IT operations team of 120 FTEs and contractors while providing contact center technology and tier 3 support for 50k global contact center agents and 320k employees. Monitored P&L for IT functions amounting to $60 million annually. Set and implement KPIs and SLAs for external contracts. Ensured cost-efficient management and execution of projects by implementing hybrid Waterfall / Agile methodologies.  Generated additional revenue of $200 million by initiating new technology and services sales, including automated kiosk support and zero-contact support capabilities. Consolidating staff, retiring legacy equipment, and eliminating vendor overlap resulted in $5+ million in savings.  Led the IT merger and acquisition activities for three splits of Fortune 50 companies, including 6k FTE acquisition, 50k FTE divestiture, and 100k FTE merger, along with running a PMO for the IT organization.  Established the world’s largest unified communications environment; managed VoIP, IM, video, mobile, and collaboration rollout for supporting 300k employees across 100+ countries on the MS Lync platform via HP networking and Oracle SBCs. Delivered unified communication, including hybrid for business infrastructure with SIP trunks and conference rooms. Transformed the enterprise to O365 services while utilizing hybrid infrastructure for 150k users. Redesigned contact centers and BPO business models to meet SLAs and reduce $1MM in penalties.       Spun off a new company, “Clear Channel Outdoor,” and an IT department from iHeart Media within six months by hiring best-fit talents, introducing cloud technologies, and designing and implementing new policies and procedures. Orchestrated and developed SOPs, playbooks, SLAs, and KPIs. Managed the PMO department, leveraged Agile and JIRA, and supported technical solutions, such as digital billboards. Formed a high-performing, cross-functional team of 35 FTEs and contractors. Designed and created the overall organizational structure, including preparing job descriptions, salary ranges, and performance targets for new staff. Controlled risk management practices and increased the efficacy of all internal controls by creating a cyber security team, hiring a CISO, and investing in security tools and methods. Successfully managed migrating an on-premise data center to AWS and Azure clouds and all core network functions without compromising data integrity and confidentiality.  Developed unified communications on Zoom for all voice, contact center, and A/V needs, saving $750k per year.  Renegotiated contracts for hardware, IT services, and software, including Microsoft Enterprise agreements, at favorable prices and terms and conditions, which resulted in an average savings of 15%.       Reconstructed entire procurement and shipping operations for this $170 million manufacturing company. Strengthened global supply and diversified vendors while increasing output by 60%. Built a supply chain program using Lean Six Sigma methodologies to help the company keep the flow of materials during significant disruptions, including the COVID-19 pandemic.  Bolstered the company’s inventory by 60% during this time, which allowed us to increase sales by 30% and capture new customers who could not buy from other vendors. Diversified vendors and opened up new channels from different global regions to mitigate risks. Scored vendor delivery and material movement by developing and implementing KPIs and dashboards.  Migrated the legacy ERP system to Epicor with phased enhancements, resulting in greater automation and inventory tracking. Reduced shipping costs by 25% by incorporating change initiatives in logistics, improving software functionalities, and negotiating new contracts.       Aligning IT infrastructure and processes to student outcomes for these 70,000 students and 8,000 staff, controlling budgets and strategic planning to advance this institution into next-generation technologies to serve onsite and remote students, and partnering with community organizations and businesses to create value-added student experiences. I lead a staff of 60+ FTEs plus contractors. Enabling cutting-edge educational experiences and retiring legacy technologies that strain budgets. This includes data centers, applications, device management, user interfaces, private LTE networks, ERP and CRM platforms, and student-facing experiences for modernized, tech-enabled, hands-on learning. Creating a staffing plan to optimize college budgets and support newer technologies with minimal FTE staffing. The FTE budget has remained flat while the technology stack, spending, and support have increased by 25%.  Forging student career opportunities and mentoring programs to give students hands-on experience and real-world skills to increase our placement percentages by at least 10% in tech-related jobs. Creating ITSM processes and technology to establish KPIs, SLAs, escalation processes, asset management, knowledge management, a ticketing system, a CMDB, a service catalog, and automated support. Selecting and implementing a contact center solution for the college to handle student interactions and enable omni-channel capabilities for registration, financial aid, and student support. Recommended and installed zero trust networks, network segmentation, MFA, and SSO processes for the college while improving compliance and audit scores by 15%. Led a data center move and expansion project to decrease yearly operating costs by $1.1MM while migrating to cloud technologies and creating better security and recovery systems to protect against ransomware and other attacks.
