  Middle Office Operations Of ABC Islamic Banking1) Middle Office acts as a bridge between IB Operations, LC, Customer Accounts, other departments and Marketing Officers.2) Middle Office reviews of all financing transactions agreements (Murabaha, Ijara, Sukuk etc.) before passing to IB Operations for processing, to ensure conformity with their documentation, compliance with ABC policies and procedures as well as Sharia requirements.3) Middle Office has to be fully understood, the nature and structure of the transaction.4) To check and follow up with L/C unit for any required documents related to L/C Murabaha.5) Prepare summary of highlights for all the financing agreements.6) Prepare KYC/Documents checklist for all transactions.7) Communicate with legal and Sharia for relevant matters.8) Opening of accounts and providing / follow up with the customers regarding the required documents (Account Opening Form, Specimen Signatures, Faxcom agreements etc.) and make sure that all requirements obtained.9) Follow up the Anti-money Laundry Manual and procedures for all accounts opened and maintained.10) Handling audit observations and make sure that the bank’s procedures are adhere to.11) Keeping records of rate of return of ABC Clearing Company.12) Monitoring functioning of ABC Clearing Fund i.e. Limit, return and liquid funds.13) Middle Office follow up for covenant requirements.14) Produce Daily Movements Report of ABC Clearing Company accounts and the Commodity Murabaha deals.15) Obtaining an Acceptance Confirmation for Commodity Murabaha deals through a recording phone to adhere and align with the Sharia requirements.
