This involved processing all the invoices for asset purchases for the month, exporting data into a fixed asset register, creating a new file for new assets, and maintaining existing assets in terms of depreciation expense.• Prepared P&L and balance sheet reports at the beginning of each month and disseminated this to the company accountant, directors, external accountant and banking institution.• Prepared the monthly consolidated financial accounts and statutory requirements such as GST, Payroll Tax, BAS and FBT returns in collaboration with the finance manager.• Liaised with external stakeholders such as creditors, subcontractors and freight forwarders to follow up on payments and to clarify invoice enquiries and remittance advice requests.   SCF group is a dynamic and privately owned national company that sales and leases containerised equipment to the intermodal transport, tank, furniture removal, retail, and semi-permanent accommodation industries. Working as an Accountant in SCF, my main achievements are as below:• Managed monthly and annual financials for the SCF Group, SCF China and SCF Hong Kong and provided support with external audit queries and compliance requirements• Undertook financial control and review of international and domestic manufacturing projects, which involved the capitalisation and allocation of build and purchase assess• Supervised accounts officers to complete the reconciliation of Accounts Receivable (AR) and AP. This included identifying and following up outstanding reconciling items, as well as verification of revenues, margin analysis, expenses and income.• Improved financial processes and procedures including the implementation and transfer of accounting data to a new financial system; the integration of the finance system with the general business system; and efficiency improvements in the assets and depreciation registers.• Implemented significant improvements in the control of SCF Group’s 20,000 assets capitalisation and financial reporting 30 major projects. Worked closely with project management staff to improve overall accountability and the responsible control of expenditure.• Created the customised online billing report from Telstra’s business portal for SCF Group. This significantly shortened the accounts payable (AP) manual process each month and led to allocating costs accurately.
