  I aided Asset Management staff with a portfolio review of its properties. I developed a database tool to analyze the performance and composition of HTC properties and migrated older compliance data to better track financial and physical conditions of HTC portfolios over time.   I led the Asset Management Division, a team of four professionals dedicated to the preservation and sustainability of affordable housing while also governing the Ohio 811 Program. I managed the Project Changes Committee, an inter-departmental group of staff working to ensure financial viability while also preserving affordability and safeguarding tenants. All management company, ownership, and restrictive covenant changes must be thoroughly vetted through the Committee. Additionally, I oversaw our Portfolio Analysis function in which staff review and analyze financial statements from LIHTC partnerships, which a special focus on projects no longer in the Compliance Period (post Year 15). Lastly, I directed the Ohio 811 Program, an OHFA-led, inter-agency initiative which provides project-based rental subsidy to OHFA-funded projects in order to set aside integrated, community apartment units specifically for extremely low-income individuals with disabilities. Show less I served as the leader in the Office of Program Compliance's Asset Management division, crafting policy and executing financial analyses of affordable housing projects funded through the Low-Income Housing Tax Credit, Multifamily Lending Program, Tax Credit Exchange, Tax Credit Assistance Program, HOME, and Ohio Housing Trust Fund to ensure sustainability throughout the credit and extended-use periods. I served as a member of the Project Changes Committee, which reviews modifications of extended-use rent restrictions for projects seeking relief. I also acted as the OHFA lead in administering the Ohio 811 Project Rental Assistance program, a project-based subsidy program aiming to expand the supply of integrated, supportive housing for extremely low-income, non-elderly individuals with disabilities administered through a partnership between OHFA and the Ohio Department of Medicaid. Show less I assised the Office of Planning, Preservation, and Development with crafting cost containment measures for the Qualified Allocation Plan, created a database to track project costs and credit pricing, and helped to draft the state's first National Housing Trust Fund Allocation Plan. I designed new scoring workbooks for competitive Housing Tax Credits and crafted a new underwriting tool for housing credit analysts to evaluate affordable housing proposals aiming to be considered under one of our multifamily programs. Show less I worked with the Office of Affordable Housing Research and Strategic Planning at the Ohio Housing Finance Agency and the Housing and Consumer Finance Research Team at the John Glenn College of Public Affairs to evaluate the performance of the Ohio Housing Finance Agency's First-Time Homebuyer Program. The program aims to make it easier for low-to-moderate income homebuyers to achieve homeownership through competitive mortgage rates, down payment and closing cost assistance, and mortgage credit certificates. I also assisted with the annual Housing Needs Assessment to help executive staff target potential customers and meet the need of affordable housing in all Ohio communities. Show less I assisted with oversight of the Housing Investment Fund, a $13 million state grant program that capitalizes innovative housing solutions that cannot be funded with any other OHFA program. I ensured grant compliance through measureable objectives and financial oversight. I also assisted with Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (HTC) and HOME property reviews. I collaborated with the Office of Information Technology to design better systems for data collection on file and physical review information to more easily respond to internal and external stakeholders.
