      Collecting and collating data on hazardous materials used by NZ businesses and organizations in order to assign controls using risk data. I was also part of a larger team writing group standards for classifying HazSubs. This process was part of the rollout of newly implemented national legislation (Hazardous Substances and New Organisms Act) on the handling and storage of toxic and hazardous materials, involving public safety and environmental compliance.

Engaged in Senior Station Officer and wildfire response training and looking to further progress my career in leadership. In charge of a crew of firefighters and a pumping appliance. Frontline management on and off station and operational command and control role on the incident ground. Training, mentoring, dealing with disciplinary issues, business planning and fiscal management roles. Responsible for ensuring the crew, station and appliance are in a perpetual state of operational readiness.
