Le sfide per un’organizzazione come Medici senza Frontiere") è motivata prevalentemente dall’originalità del tema selezionato, sul quale la letteratura ancora non riesce a dare convincenti prove di organicità e di solidità, e dalla scelta di assumere un punto di vista coraggiosamente alternativo, mai banalmente riconducibile ad una trasposizione acritica in chiave ONG delle teorie e, soprattutto, della precettistica maturate nell’ambito della comunicazione pubblica o della comunicazione d’impresa. La tesi è particolarmente originale per il taglio scelto: l’elaborato propone un’inversione prospettica rispetto alla letteratura “mainstream” sull’argomento e sulla visione egemonica, sostanzialmente mediacentrica. Il lavoro diCecchini, centrato sul concetto di comunicazione come testimonianza, propone una lettura dal punto di vista delle organizzazioni non governative, sottolineando le disuguaglianze nell’accesso dei paesi non occidentali ai media globalizzati. Il tutto con l’evidente intento di individuare un nuovo modello comunicativo per le ONG impegnate nelle crisi umanitarie, in cui si pongono come partner dei media e, insieme, come rilevanti fonti nella costruzione delle notizie.
