  I was very fortunate to work as a consulting intern for a real estate project that will become India’s first carbon neutral township. The challenge was to get to know the needs and wants of potential buyers in order to propose an optimal product mix. I conducted primary research through in-person interviews, site visits, and online channels to generate customer insights. At the same time, I made sure to take into account the sociocultural factors and economic realities of the buyers. This was done not only through readings, but more importantly, through interactions with co-workers and local friends in a casual context. This allowed me to obtain deeper, more genuine answers that can be used as factors to differentiate from the competition. Show less
