  Managing a diverse team of 11 including engineers, technologists, and data assistants. The City of Surrey has a centralized Traffic Management Centre (TMC) where staff monitor 8,000 alerts annually for collisions, congestion, and equipment alarms. Staff average 600 signal configuration interventions. Surrey's roadway electrical inventory includes 460 traffic signals, 32,000 streetlights, and over 500 CCTV cameras.
