  On successfully passing the Basic Firearms Course was transferred to the Diplomatic Protection Group and carried out static protection posts and drove the response cars dealing with incidents at diplomatic Premises. Drove the Instant Response Carrier which dealt with all major incidents at Diplomatic Premises, bomb scenes and Government Buildings. Tactical training on a regular basis as well as improving the knowledge of London's road network.

  Involved in the day to day planning and management of protection provided in a static and mobile form to the Diplomatic Community in London, as well as the Liaison with other departments and agencies providing protection for all major ceremonial and State visits. Liaison with all Central London Hotels providing accommodation for visiting VIPS and for all major international conferences including G20.Risk Assessor and part of Risk Management Review group. starting as a cadet at Hackney in 1976 Chris developed a passion for London and served at StokeNewington from Training School (78) until successfully transferring to the Diplomatic Protection Group as a firearms officer in 1986. He became an advanced driver (Class1) in 1983 and also served on the District Support Units for several tours. He developed a good overall knowledge of London whilst driving response cars for the DPG as well as the response vans prior to ARV's Providing protection to Government Ministers, Ambassadors, and visiting Heads of State and others qualifying for full State protection. Fully trained and with full refresher training throughout. Full anti hijack and off road training, working on a National basis with other forces. Also served in Royalty Close Protection providing protection on a National basis to all members of the Royal Family.

  whilst an operational planner for the Diplomatic Protection Group Chris used all his contacts in the protection departments and the hotel security industry to become the main point of liaison for all visiting protections and all major events like State Visits, the G20 conferences, linking in with the F&CO and other international agencies to provide appropriate levels of cover, intel and briefings to all parties involved. He also attended the monthly meetings for the IHSM providing liaison each way between the MPS and the hotel industry. Show less

I work for several companies as an SIA Registered Close Protection Operative providing all sorts protection in various roles for families, TV studios, at Corporate events and have also taken part in security teams at large public events in the private sector.
