  Amidst the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, I worked at a local nursing home. The role was demanding as it required providing comprehensive care to the elderly, further complicated by the constraints imposed by the pandemic. Throughout the summer, I primarily worked in a standard department, occasionally contributing to the palliative care unit.In addition to routine responsibilities such as healthcare assistance, meal support, and facilitating exercise, I actively engaged in socializing with the patients. This seemed to have a positive effect on patients which was rewarding. What appealed to me about this job was the opportunity to work both independently and as part of a team each day, adapting to the varying needs of the patients. Show less During the COVID-19 pandemic, I was employed at the Nesodden Vaccination Center. My responsibilities included creating and updating digital patient records, verifying information by cross-referencing the Norwegian population register with the center's analog register, and managing the information/booking telephone line. The primary objective was to ensure that every citizen had the opportunity to receive the COVID vaccine and that those vaccinated obtained their digital vaccination cards.Additionally, I occasionally worked at the reception, where I recorded attendance and managed the flow of patients. The work environment was demanding due to its crucial role in society, with a particular challenge being the need to ensure the utilization of every vaccine dose within a limited timeframe (1-2 hours) after opening a vaccine vial. Often, patients scheduled for vaccination didn't show up, requiring us to use the analog register to reach out and find an unvaccinated individual to take the dose promptly. Show less

  Summer Internship GeoX

  Internship as a software engineer at SLB Norway Technology Center (SNTC): My focus was on an independent telemetry project in Opportunity Assessor, part of GeoX and Delfi. In this role, I developed the logic for services dedicated to recording and replaying user sessions, as well as generating heatmaps. The project addressed the challenge of developers having to retrace users' steps when encountering bugs, which can be time-consuming and challenging, especially when users struggle to articulate the issue accurately. The introduced services now allow developers to replay sessions instead of attempting to recreate bugs, aiming to enhance efficiency in bug resolution.Despite the individual nature of my project, I participated in the daily standup meetings with the GeoX team. Additionally, I held individual daily standup sessions with my mentor, Atilla Orosz from Epam in Budapest. Vidar Aarum-Ulvaas served as my mentor at SNTC.Throughout the summer internship, I gained valuable insights into working in a professional environment, an experience for which I am grateful.   Summer Internship Flow Assurance

  During my second summer internship at SLB Norway Technology Center (SNTC) in Oslo, I joined the Flow Assurance team and focused on an independent research project aimed at evaluating the use of Google Analytics (GA) and Google Tag Manager (GTM) as tracking and analysis tools.My project involved researching the capabilities and limitations of GA and GTM. I began by assessing implementation methods, including using an open-source library, directly injecting the GA script into the index.html file, and developing a custom GTM script injection service. After careful evaluation, I concluded that creating a custom injection service was the optimal solution, as it facilitated the integration of a feature toggle using data partitioning. This feature toggle was essential due to the varying legal restrictions on Google tracking across different countries where Flow Assurance users are located.Upon completing the implementation, I developed a proof-of-concept GA container to demonstrate what data could be visualized and added tracking tags in our GTM workspace. Throughout the internship, I participated in daily standups and sprint reviews with the Flow Assurance team. During the last sprint review, I held a demonstration of my achievements, and I concluded the internship by presenting my research findings during our Engineering Team Session, which included the Flow Assurance team, marketing, and portfolio.In addition to my project, I also participated in the Codequest intern hackathon hosted by SLB Pune Tech Center (PUTC). Competing against 24 teams from around the world, my team secured 2nd place in competing to develop the most profitable algorithm in a real-time oil drilling simulation game.This internship provided valuable experience in conducting research, implementing technology solutions, and working in a professional environment.
