  At McDonnel Douglas, I was a team leader in charge of fabricating the cock-pits of the C-17 airlifter. I supervised a crew of 40 mechanics. I assigned each crew member specific job duties which included the installation of parts within strict time constraints. In adding, we had to deal with proficient use of machinery for fabricating parts which also involved the use of cutting, training and riveting of assembly structures. Due to the way the economy was at the time, I eventually transferred to Lockheed where I worked on L-10/11 upper panel assembly. Show less

  I owned and operated a salon in California. My wife handled the beauty salon while I dealt with other aspects of the business: this included money handling, customer relations, appointment setting and the up-keeping and ordering for our inventory supply of hair products. I also had to maintain our financial books and deal with marketing/advertising on a weekly basis.

  I worked at the D.M.V. (Department of Motor Vehicles) as a Technician III. I was able to refine my listening and customer service skills at the D.M.V. where I was assigned numerous duties on a weekly basis: I worked at the counter, testing room, picture taking counter, information and reinstatement (of driver's licenses) desk. Tasks included assistance in helping customers regarding product knowledge and services of the D.M.V. and also in helping with driving permits, drivers' licenses, vehicle registrations, vehicle titles and the reinstatement of licenses as well.
