      Topic: Modelling & Simulation of heat transfer in Solid State Fermentation Bioreactor with intermittent mixingSummary: In this project heat transfer problem in a solid-state fermentation bioreactor was resolved with the help of mathematical modelling and simulation. A partial differential equation, describing the temperature behavior across the bed of solid-state fermentation bioreactor with respect to axial distance & time was modeled and simulated.Project study demonstrated that at 50% humidity and 2 LPM air flow rate, highest enzyme productivity was found to be 8040 IU/kg-substrate-d with 54.5h t90 value and 62.33% loading coefficient which is very close to maximum reported loading coefficient 66.87%.
