      Visited construction sites throughout Connecticut to observe the proper application of environmental permits as required by the state and dictated by CT DEEP ie. The Pearl Harbor Memorial Bridge in New Haven, CT for the proper handling and disposal of waste from construction material byproducts.Attended LEAN meetings with CTDOT relevant to streamlining the state environmental permitting processes.Assessed flood mitigation techniques to control runoff volumes on the Uconn Storrs campus sewage and drainage system.       I am currently a Project Engineer in the Consultant Liaison Engineering (CLE) Unit within the Department of Transportation's Bureau of Engineering and Construction. I oversee the administration of bridge rehabilitation and replacement projects throughout the State of Connecticut and supervise consultants retained by the Department through project development and completion of construction. I feel fortunate to be working with a diverse group of individuals and projects from which I learn new means, methods and ways to improve within my field everyday. Show less
