  I joined the program as full professor to establish human computer interaction (HCI) teaching and research in a (then) rather technical computing program. Over the years, HCI became the most popular undergraduate elective; HCI and Games became one of the major research areas in the School; HITLab (Human Interface Technology) was established on the Launceston campus; Henry Duh and I chaired Australasia's key HCI conference OzCHI in Tasmania in 2016 shortly before both of us relocated interstate/overseas.
