      Activities and Societies: One Health Club, Wildlife Disease Association, American Association of Small Ruminant Practitioners, International Veterinary Student Association, American Association of Equine Practitioners In addition to serving as One Health Club president for two years, I have served as the IVSA Representative for the CSU component of IVSA SAVMA and held various officer positions for my PVM class and student organizations. I have also collaborated with a veterinary student from the University of Nairobi to establish the groundwork for a veterinary student exchange program. Traveling to Kenya and making the connections for the exchange has allowed me to more tangibly understand what the exchange will require logistically and it has been very rewarding thus far. Additionally, I am partaking in several research projects - a literature review on infectious diseases in polar bears, a survey on One Health in veterinary schools, and a survey examining intake procedures at Colorado animal shelters. My time at Wartburg College also allowed me to study abroad to Mexico, where I studied Spanish, and Tanzania, where we learned about issues surrounding the spread and management of HIV/AIDS and spent time with the Maasai tribe.
