  Worked as a part of Quality Assurance team for Flow Control Valves at Emerson Final Control.Key responsibilities included preparing quality certificates and various test reports for valves and help reduce inspection and certification lead time. If needed perform visual inspection to verify valve parts and details are as per customer requirements. Effective utilization of resources to improve quality performance and customer satisfaction. Record RFTs into the online database on a monthly basis. Maintain and record instrument calibration list used in the workshop and take necessary steps to ensure all instruments are calibrated.Learn and gain knowledge of various ASME and ASTM standards for preparing PMI and Paint reports for valves. Enhance and gain proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook and SharePoint). Ability to read technical drawings and acquire knowledge on valve parts. Interact with customer and assist them around the workshop for quality testing and inspection.This internship provided me an opportunity to apply my academic knowledge and skills in Quality Assurance Environment. It helped me improve the following skills.Communication skills : Listening effectively, transmitting information accurately and understandably and actively seeking feedback.Flexibility: Performing a wide range of tasks, responding to changes in direction and priorities, and accepting new challenges, responsibilities, and assignments.Dependability/Reliability: Following through on commitments, producing timely work to promote to a higher standard; pitching in to get the job done.
